Package, footprint, and supply flexibility
The DSC6111HE1A-PROGRAMMABLE: This footprint matches the standard 1.6 x 1.2 mm oscillator land pattern — the same pad layout used by many MEMS and quartz XOs in this class, so a board designed for a competing 1.6 x 1.2 mm SMD oscillator can accept this part without a layout change. The CMOS output swings rail-to-rail, compatible with most MCU and SoC clock inputs. The 3 mA max supply current (typ) keeps the thermal budget low even in dense PCB assemblies.
Sourcing reality for an obsolete part
The laser-etched date-code and package marking should be verified against Microchip's factory traceability to avoid re-marked or counterfeit stock. A board-spin to a current Microchip MEMS oscillator (same 1.6 x 1.2 mm footprint, same supply range) is the recommended long-term hedge, but no drop-in replacement is documented.
