MEMS XO with CMOS output — the timing-tree fit
The DSC6111CE1A-000.0000T is a MEMS-based oscillator from Microchip's DSC61XX series, delivering a standard CMOS output across a 1 MHz to 100 MHz frequency range. The blank (user-programmable) variant means the oscillator ships without a pre-set frequency — the BOM must account for a programming step at assembly or a pre-programmed order code from the factory. For a design that needs a fixed frequency out of the box, the pre-programmed DSC61XX siblings avoid this step.
AEC-Q100 and the automotive timing budget
For a CAN or 100BASE-T1 PHY reference, ±50 ppm is within the typical tolerance; for a precision sensor timebase, a tighter ±25 ppm or TCXO would be required.
Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
New designs should select an active Microchip MEMS oscillator with the same footprint and supply range; existing BOM lines can be filled through independent surplus and broker channels.
Package and board integration
Tape and Reel packaging supports automated pick-and-place at volume. The blank-programmable variant requires a separate programming step — factor this into the assembly flow if the BOM calls for the -000.0000T suffix rather than a pre-programmed order code.
