MEMS resonator, not quartz — the board-fit difference
The DSC6102MA2B-008.0000T: Because the resonator is a silicon MEMS structure rather than a quartz crystal, there is no start-up time uncertainty and no need for external load capacitors — the oscillator self-starts and drives the output within microseconds of power-up.
8 MHz CMOS clock with Enable/Disable
The CMOS output swings rail-to-rail between the supply voltage and ground, so it drives standard logic inputs without external termination — a straight trace from oscillator pad to MCU clock pin is sufficient for most layouts up to 8 MHz.
Sourcing and supply posture
Tape & Reel packaging supports automated assembly — the reel quantity is the standard volume for production runs, and the part is also orderable in smaller quantities for prototypes or pre-production.
