MEMS resonator and AEC-Q100 qualification
The base resonator is a MEMS die, which gives this oscillator shock and vibration immunity compared to quartz — relevant for automotive or industrial environments where mechanical stress is present.
Outputs a 39.6 MHz CMOS clock — the frequency is the oscillator's fixed output, not a range. For a 39.6 MHz carrier, that is a maximum deviation of ±1.98 kHz — tight enough for most CAN, LIN, or general-purpose microcontroller clock trees without external trimming.
The land pattern is a 4-pad VLGA (very-thin land-grid array) — the pads are on the bottom of the package, not side terminations. Reflow profile follows standard lead-free soldering; no special bake-out is required for MSL 1-rated MEMS oscillators. The oscillator draws 3 mA typical at 39.6 MHz — negligible for most power budgets, but the 80 µA disabled current matters for battery-backed designs where the clock is gated during sleep.
