The Microchip DSC6101JA1B-020.0000T is a 20 MHz fixed-frequency XO built on a MEMS resonator.
AEC-Q100 qualification and deployment envelope
The MEMS resonator does not exhibit the activity dips or aging slope of a quartz crystal; the silicon structure is sealed at the wafer level and survives shock and vibration per the AEC-Q100 mechanical stress tests. The four-pad land pattern includes a centre ground pad — the PCB layout should connect this pad to the ground plane with a via cluster to keep the thermal impedance low and the MEMS core temperature stable under airflow.
Supply flexibility and output control
The internal LDO regulates down to the MEMS core, so the CMOS output swing tracks the supply pin. The Enable/Disable pin tri-states the output; pulling it low places the oscillator in a power-down state that draws near-zero current from the supply rail, useful for sequencing the clock to a peripheral that shares the same line.
