Product details

8 MHz fixed-frequency clock — no load-cap matching needed

The DSC6051JI1B-008.0000T: Because the resonator is a MEMS structure rather than a quartz crystal, there is no load-capacitance specification to match — the oscillator's frequency is set at the factory and the output is a rail-to-rail CMOS square wave ready to drive a digital input directly.

Active current and standby power-down for battery-backed modules

The oscillator draws 1.3 mA typical in active operation and drops to 1.5 µA typical when the standby (power-down) pin is asserted. For a module that spends most of its life in sleep and wakes periodically to transmit a sensor reading, the standby current is below the self-discharge rate of a coin cell — the clock does not dominate the sleep budget.
