Obsolete MEMS oscillator – sourcing reality check
It operates from a wide supply range of 1.71V to 3.63V and draws a typical 1.3 mA maximum supply current. The part is AEC-Q100 qualified, meaning it passed automotive-grade reliability stress and PPAP documentation is available for OEM audits. The standby (power-down) function allows the oscillator output to be disabled, reducing current consumption to near-zero – useful for power-sensitive automotive modules that wake on a bus event.
The oscillator is housed in a 4-SMD, No Lead package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.89 mm. The 0.098" x 0.079" footprint is a standard MEMS oscillator land pattern, compatible with many 4-pin XO layouts. Surface-mount assembly with no exposed pad – the four pads are the only thermal and electrical connection. Ensure the PCB land pattern matches the recommended footprint from the DSC60XX series datasheet.
