MEMS oscillator for harsh-environment timing
Supply flexibility and stability budget
Operating from 1.71 V to 3.63 V, the DSC6003JA3B-PROG spans 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V logic rails without a separate regulator — one BOM entry covers multiple voltage domains. Total frequency stability is ±20 ppm, which includes initial tolerance, temperature drift, and aging — sufficient for most CAN, LIN, and general-purpose clocking applications without external trimming. Typical supply current is 1.3 mA, keeping the thermal budget low in the 4-VLGA package (2.50 mm × 2.00 mm footprint, 0.89 mm seated height).
Programming and enable/disable control
Supplied as a blank (unprogrammed) device, the DSC6003JA3B-PROG requires the user to set the output frequency via Microchip's programming tools before assembly — this allows a single stock-keeping unit to serve multiple frequency requirements on the same BOM.
