27 MHz MEMS XO with AEC-Q100 grade
The DSC6001JL2B-027.0000 is a 27 MHz MEMS-based oscillator from Microchip's DSC60XX series, delivering a CMOS output with ±25 ppm frequency stability across a wide 1.71 V to 3.63 V supply range. Rated AEC-Q100, this XO is qualified for automotive temperature and reliability stress — suitable for under-hood or cabin-domain ECUs where a quartz crystal might drift under vibration or thermal cycling. The MEMS resonator replaces a quartz blank, so there is no start-up reliability concern from a cracked crystal — the scorch mark on a dead board is rarely the oscillator itself, but a failed supply rail or a bad solder joint on the 4-VLGA pads.
Suitable for both new designs and ongoing production builds.
1.3 mA typical draw and Enable/Disable function
Typical supply current is 1.3 mA — low enough for a battery-backed automotive module that sleeps between CAN wake events. The Enable/Disable pin lets the system cut the oscillator's draw entirely when the bus is idle. The 4-VLGA package (2.50 mm x 2.00 mm, 0.89 mm seated height) fits tight PCB layouts. The small footprint means the decoupling cap should sit within 2 mm of the supply pin to keep the rail clean at 27 MHz.
