What this MEMS oscillator does in the assembly
Supply voltage spans 1.71 V to 3.63 V, covering 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V logic rails without an external regulator. Typical current draw is 1.3 mA — low enough for battery-powered nodes that sleep between transmissions.
Microchip has marked this part Obsolete. A board spin to a current DSC60XX variant (same package footprint, same supply range) is the practical migration path — the DSC60XX family shares the 4-SMD no-lead package and 1.71-3.63 V supply, so the layout stays the same.
4-SMD, No Lead package, 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm body, 0.90 mm seated height. Surface-mount only — no through-hole option. If your pick-and-place line expects reel feed, plan for a tube-to-reel transfer or order a reeled variant from the same series.
