Quad-output MEMS clock source for dense timing trees
The DSC400-4444Q0038KI1T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC400 series, delivering four independent HCSL outputs. It replaces up to four discrete oscillators with a single 5.00mm x 3.20mm 20-VFQFN package, saving board space and reducing BOM count. Output frequencies are 100MHz and 156.25MHz, with the configuration providing two 156.25MHz lanes and two lanes that can be either 100MHz or 156.25MHz. This suits PCIe reference clock or Ethernet SerDes applications where both frequencies coexist.
Industrial temperature grade and supply flexibility
Rated for -40°C to 85°C operation, the part fits outdoor telecom, base stations, and industrial control panels where ambient temperature swings are routine. The 2.25V to 3.6V supply range lets it run from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an extra regulator. Frequency stability is ±50ppm over the full temperature and voltage range, tight enough for most 1GbE and PCIe Gen1/2 clocking needs without external trimming.
Active lifecycle and sourcing posture
It remains suitable for new designs and production builds. Sourced through independent distribution; quoted to order against the BOM quantity. Availability and current pricing confirmed at RFQ.
Package and integration note
The 20-VFQFN with exposed pad (0.90mm height) requires a thermal pad on the PCB for heatsinking. The Enable/Disable function allows the outputs to be gated for power sequencing or test modes.
