MEMS clock with dual HCSL/LVDS lanes
The DSC400-4334Q0023KI1T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC400 series, delivering two fixed output frequencies — 100 MHz on output 1 and 156.25 MHz on output 2 — selectable as HCSL or LVDS logic levels. The 156.25 MHz rate is a common SerDes reference for 10GbE and PCIe Gen3; the 100 MHz output can clock a system PLL or FPGA transceiver bank, so a single oscillator serves two clock domains.
Supply and temperature envelope
Operates from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply, covering both 2.5V and 3.3V rails without an intermediate regulator — the wide input range simplifies power-tree design on mixed-voltage boards.
Housed in a 20-VFQFN with exposed pad (5.00mm x 3.20mm body, 0.90mm height), the pad needs a thermal via array under the centre slug to pull heat into the ground plane — the datasheet's recommended footprint is worth following closely to keep the MEMS die within its operating junction temperature.
