Active production, dual-frequency MEMS clock source
The DSC400-4334Q0023KE2 is an active-production MEMS-based XO from Microchip's DSC400 series, delivering two independent output frequencies from a single 20-VFQFN package: 100 MHz on output 1 and 156.25 MHz on output 2. Output logic is field-selectable between HCSL and LVDS, covering common reference-clock standards for Ethernet PHYs, PCIe, and FPGA transceivers without needing a separate level translator. The MEMS resonator eliminates quartz start-up delays and is less sensitive to vibration and shock, which matters for equipment that ships assembled or sees mechanical handling during installation.
Supply voltage and temperature grade — fit for indoor equipment
Operating from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply rail, the part drops into 2.5V or 3.3V clock trees without an extra regulator — the wide input range covers both common logic voltages. It is not qualified for engine-bay or outdoor enclosure use without additional thermal analysis.
Package and footprint — 20-VFQFN with exposed pad
Housed in a 20-VFQFN with exposed pad, the package measures 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a 0.90 mm seated height — the pad must be soldered to a thermal land on the PCB to achieve the rated thermal performance, and the 0.50 mm pitch QFN demands careful fan-out on a 2-layer board.
