Four-output MEMS clock generator
The DSC400-4334Q0022KI2 is a MEMS-based XO (standard oscillator) that replaces up to four discrete quartz oscillators with a single 20-VFQFN package. It delivers two 125 MHz and two 100 MHz outputs in HCSL or LVDS format, covering common PCIe and Ethernet reference clock needs. The MEMS resonator is inherently more shock- and vibration-tolerant than a quartz crystal — useful for equipment that sees frequent handling or fan-induced vibration on the PCB.
Supply voltage and temperature range
Operating from 2.25 V to 3.6 V, this oscillator runs on either a 2.5 V or 3.3 V rail without an extra LDO. The wide range also helps during power-up sequencing if the rail ramps slowly.
Enable/disable and package footprint
An enable/disable pin lets the system gate the outputs for power savings during idle modes — the oscillator stops toggling, reducing dynamic current draw. The 20-VFQFN with exposed pad (5.00 mm x 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm height) requires a thermal via pattern under the pad for heat sinking. The 0.50 mm pitch demands careful fan-out on a two-layer board; a four-layer stack-up is safer for signal integrity on the HCSL/LVDS lines.
