Quad-output MEMS oscillator for multi-rail clock trees
The DSC400-4111Q0112KI2 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) that delivers four independent clock outputs from a single 20-VFQFN package: three lanes at 25 MHz and a fourth lane configurable to 100 MHz or 156.25 MHz. This replaces up to four discrete quartz oscillators on the board, saving footprint and reducing BOM line count.
Operating from 2.25 V to 3.6 V, this oscillator runs directly off a 2.5 V or 3.3 V rail without an external LDO — the wide input tolerance covers both common logic supplies in mixed-voltage systems.
Output options and enable/disable control
Output logic is selectable between HCSL and LVCMOS — HCSL for PCIe clock distribution, LVCMOS for general-purpose logic or FPGA clock inputs.
Housed in a 20-VFQFN with exposed pad (5.00 mm × 3.20 mm footprint, 0.90 mm height), the package requires a thermal pad on the PCB for heat sinking — the exposed pad must be soldered to a ground plane to keep junction temperature within limits during continuous operation.
