Product details

Six-frequency MEMS clock in a 5×3.2 mm package

It delivers four frequencies on Output 1 (25 MHz, 50 MHz, 125 MHz, 150 MHz) and two on Output 2 (100 MHz, 156.25 MHz), covering common processor, SerDes, and Ethernet reference clock rates from one device. With ±50 ppm frequency stability, the part holds timing within 50 parts per million over voltage, temperature, and aging — a standard for 1 GbE and PCIe Gen 1/2 reference clocks.

Supply voltage and footprint for layout

Runs from a 2.25 V to 3.6 V supply, covering 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails without an external LDO — the internal regulator rejects supply ripple from the board's switching converter. The 20-VFQFN exposed-pad package (5.00 mm × 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm height) requires a thermal via array under the pad for heat sinking; the LVDS output edge rate benefits from a 100 Ω termination resistor placed within 0.5 inch of the output pins.

Microchip Technology is the sole source.

Frequently asked questions

What is the exact output frequency configuration of the DSC400-3333Q0001KI1?

Output 1 provides 25 MHz, 50 MHz, 125 MHz, and 150 MHz simultaneously. Output 2 provides 100 MHz and 156.25 MHz simultaneously. All six frequencies are available from a single LVDS output pair — the part internally muxes the selected frequency per output bank.
