Quad-output MEMS oscillator – one part, four clock trees
The DSC400-3331Q0098KI2T is a MEMS-based XO that generates four independent clock outputs from a single resonator: one 12 MHz and three 50 MHz, all with ±25 ppm frequency stability across the -40 to 85°C industrial temperature range. Each output can be configured as LVCMOS or LVDS, giving the designer flexibility to drive both single-ended and differential clock domains from the same device without an external fanout buffer.
It is a current production part suitable for new designs.
Package and layout – 20-VFQFN with exposed pad
The 20-VFQFN Exposed Pad package (5.00 mm × 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm height) requires a thermal via array under the center pad to achieve the rated thermal performance. The pad also serves as the primary ground return for the MEMS core. Supply voltage range is 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails commonly found in FPGA and SoC clock trees. No external LDO needed if the rail is within this window.
