Quad-output MEMS oscillator in a 5x3.2 mm footprint
The DSC400-3111Q0088KI1T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC400 series that delivers four independent output frequencies from a single 20-VFQFN package measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm. Output 1 and Output 4 are both 148.25 MHz; Output 2 provides 12 MHz and 24 MHz; Output 3 provides 25 MHz and 100 MHz. Supply voltage range is 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic rails without an external regulator.
Frequency plan and output interface
Outputs are available in LVCMOS or LVDS format — the 148.25 MHz main clocks are typically routed as LVDS for better signal integrity over longer board traces, while the lower-frequency 12/24 MHz and 25/100 MHz outputs can be LVCMOS for direct connection to FPGA configuration banks or MCU clock inputs. For a 148.25 MHz carrier, ±50 ppm translates to a maximum frequency error of about 7.4 kHz — well within the capture range of most Ethernet PHYs and SerDes reference clocks.
The 0.90 mm height keeps it under most mezzanine board clearance limits.
