Product details

Quad-frequency MEMS oscillator for clock-tree consolidation

The DSC400-1122Q0036KE1 is a MEMS-based XO oscillator that delivers four independent output frequencies from a single 20-VFQFN package: 100 MHz, 156.25 MHz, 25 MHz, and 50 MHz. It replaces up to four discrete quartz oscillators on the board, saving footprint and reducing BOM line count — useful when a switch/router or FPGA clock tree needs multiple reference clocks. Outputs are configurable as LVCMOS or LVPECL, so the same part can feed a standard logic input or a differential clock receiver without a translator.

Operates from 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering both 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic rails — no extra regulator needed when the board has both supplies.

Package and board layout note

Housed in a 20-VFQFN with exposed pad, 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm footprint, 0.90 mm height.

Frequently asked questions

What frequencies does the DSC400-1122Q0036KE1 output?

Four fixed outputs: 100 MHz, 156.25 MHz, 25 MHz, and 50 MHz. These are factory-programmed and not field-configurable.

Is this oscillator a drop-in replacement for a quartz crystal oscillator?

It is a direct functional replacement for a standard XO (oscillator, not bare crystal) — same supply voltage range, LVCMOS/LVPECL output, and enable/disable control. The MEMS resonator inside is more shock- and vibration-tolerant than quartz, but the pinout and footprint follow the industry-standard 20-VFQFN layout.
