Dual-output MEMS oscillator for precision timing
The DSC400-0401Q0103KI2 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC400 series, delivering two independent output frequencies from a single 20-VFQFN exposed-pad package: 12.288 MHz and 100 MHz. Output logic is configurable as HCSL or LVCMOS, covering both high-speed clock distribution (100 MHz HCSL for PCIe / Ethernet reference) and lower-frequency logic-level timing (12.288 MHz LVCMOS for telecom frame sync or audio sample rate).
Supply voltage spans 2.25 V to 3.6 V, allowing the oscillator to share a 3.3 V or 2.5 V rail without an additional LDO — a single-supply design that simplifies the power tree on mixed-voltage boards.
Package footprint and layout notes
Housed in a 20-VFQFN exposed-pad package measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact land-grid array that requires a thermal pad on the PCB for heat sinking and mechanical stability. The Enable/Disable function (pin-controlled) lets the system designer gate the output during idle modes, reducing power consumption without cycling the oscillator supply.
Active lifecycle and ordering posture
No stock-holding claim is made — every procurement inquiry is quoted against the buyer's BOM quantity.
