Dual-frequency MEMS oscillator for precision video timing
The DSC400-0303Q0086KI2 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC400 series, delivering two LVDS output frequencies: 148.5 MHz and 148.35 MHz — the exact pair used in 3G-SDI and 1080p video clocking.
Supply voltage and package for board layout
Operates from a 2.25 V to 3.6 V supply rail, so it can be fed directly from a 2.5 V or 3.3 V LDO without a separate regulator — the wide tolerance also covers a 3.0 V battery-backed rail. The 20-VFQFN with exposed pad (5.00 mm x 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm height) requires a thermal via pattern under the pad for heat sinking; the LVDS output swing is sensitive to the AC-coupling capacitor placement, so keep the trace short to the connector.
