Product details

Dual-frequency LVPECL clock in a MEMS XO

The DSC400-0202Q0109KE1T is a MEMS-based XO that outputs two independent LVPECL frequencies from a single 20-VFQFN package: 153.6 MHz on output 1 and 176.875 MHz on output 2. These two frequencies are common in 10G/25G Ethernet SerDes reference clocks and FPGA transceiver banks — one oscillator replaces two discrete cans, saving board area and reducing the BOM line count.

Supply range and enable/disable control

Operates from 2.25 V to 3.6 V — covers 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails without an external regulator.

Housed in a 20-VFQFN with an exposed pad (5.00 mm x 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm height).

The DSC400 series is Microchip's current-generation MEMS oscillator family; no successor has been announced.

Frequently asked questions

What are the exact output frequencies of DSC400-0202Q0109KE1T?

Output 1 is 153.6 MHz; output 2 is 176.875 MHz. Both are LVPECL differential outputs.

Is DSC400-0202Q0109KE1T RoHS compliant?

The part is listed as RoHS compliant per Microchip's standard DSC400 series material declaration. The 20-VFQFN package is lead-free and compatible with lead-free reflow profiles.

Can DSC400-0202Q0109KE1T be used with a 3.3 V supply?

Yes — the supply voltage range is 2.25 V to 3.6 V, so 3.3 V is within spec. The LVPECL output swing scales with the supply voltage; at 3.3 V the differential swing is typically 800 mV p-p.
