Dual LVPECL outputs at 161.1328125 MHz and 164.375 MHz
The DSC400-0202Q0107KE2 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC400 series, delivering two independent LVPECL output frequencies: 161.1328125 MHz on output 1 and 164.375 MHz on output 2. These two clocks are often used together in networking or communications equipment where a PLL locks to one frequency and the other drives a SerDes or FPGA reference — the 3.2421875 MHz offset between them is small enough that both can be generated from a single MEMS resonator, keeping the board layout clean.
±25 ppm stability and 2.25V–3.6V supply
For a 161.1328125 MHz clock, ±25 ppm translates to a worst-case drift of about ±4 kHz — well within the capture range of most Ethernet or PCIe reference receivers. The supply voltage range of 2.25V to 3.6V means it can run from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an external LDO; the Enable/Disable function lets the system gate the outputs for power sequencing or test modes.
Active production, 20-VFQFN package
The 20-VFQFN exposed pad package (5.00 mm x 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm height) requires a thermal pad on the PCB for proper heat dissipation — the pad should be connected to the ground plane with at least four vias to keep the junction temperature within the MEMS resonator's operating envelope.
