Dual-frequency MEMS oscillator for video and serial clocks
The DSC400-0103Q0102KE2T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC400 series, delivering two independent output frequencies: 148.5 MHz on one output and 14.7456 MHz on the other. The 148.5 MHz output is a standard video clock rate (common for 1080p and 4K video interfaces), while 14.7456 MHz is a classic serial-communications baud-rate reference (e.g., 115200 bps × 128). The part supports both LVCMOS and LVDS output formats, selectable per output. LVCMOS is suitable for routing to a single-ended clock input on an FPGA or ASIC; LVDS provides differential signalling for low-jitter, long-trace distribution across a PCB or backplane.
Supply voltage and frequency stability
Operating from a 2.25V to 3.6V supply, this oscillator can share a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without a dedicated LDO.
Package and enable/disable function
Housed in a 20-VFQFN with exposed pad (5.00mm × 3.20mm, 0.90mm height), the DSC400-0103Q0102KE2T requires a thermal land on the PCB for heat sinking and mechanical stability.
