Dual-frequency XO with MEMS resonator
The DSC400-0101Q0115KE2T is a dual-output MEMS-based XO from Microchip, generating two fixed LVCMOS clock frequencies: 12 MHz on output 1 and 3.072 MHz on output 2. The 12 MHz output is a common MCU or Ethernet PHY reference; the 3.072 MHz output aligns with telecom frame rates and audio sample clocks. A single device replaces two discrete oscillators, saving board space and reducing BOM line count.
Operating from 2.25 V to 3.6 V, this XO runs on 2.5 V or 3.3 V rails without a separate regulator. The wide input range also absorbs rail ripple within that window. It is not qualified for extended outdoor or automotive ambient.
The 20-VFQFN package with exposed pad (5.00 mm x 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm height) needs a thermal via array under the pad for both electrical ground and heat sinking.
Sourced through independent distribution channels.
