MEMS dual-frequency oscillator for tight timing budgets
The DSC400-0101Q0115KE2 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) that delivers two independent LVCMOS clock outputs — 12 MHz on output 1 and 3.072 MHz on output 2 — from a single 20-VFQFN package with an exposed pad for thermal relief. The wide supply range of 2.25 V to 3.6 V lets it run directly from a 2.5 V or 3.3 V rail without an extra LDO, saving a regulator and its decoupling capacitors.
Frequency stability and output control
Housed in a 20-VFQFN with exposed pad, measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — the pad must be soldered to a ground plane for both thermal conduction and mechanical stability, and the narrow 0.50 mm pitch QFN footprint requires careful solder-paste stencil design to avoid bridging.
