Why a MEMS oscillator instead of a crystal
The DSC2311KL2-R0027T uses a MEMS resonator as its base, not a quartz crystal — so there are no load capacitors to match, no negative-resistance margin to calculate, and no start-up reliability gamble. Two 27 MHz rails from a single 6-VDFN package (2.50 mm × 2.00 mm, 0.90 mm height) — one device drives two clock domains, saving a second oscillator footprint and the associated bypass caps.
The 2.25 V to 3.6 V supply range lets it run directly from a 2.5 V or 3.3 V rail — no extra LDO or level translator for the core voltage.
