Dual-frequency MEMS clock source
The DSC2311KL2-R0018 is a MEMS-based XO that delivers two independent CMOS clock outputs from a single resonator: 27 MHz on output 1 and 54 MHz on output 2. This dual-frequency architecture lets one oscillator feed two clock domains — for example, a 27 MHz reference for a USB PHY and a 54 MHz core clock — reducing component count and board area compared to using two separate oscillators.
Industrial temperature and tight stability
The ±25 ppm frequency stability holds across the full temperature and supply range (2.25 V to 3.6 V), keeping clock jitter within the timing budget for 100BASE-TX and CAN-FD interfaces.
6-VDFN package and enable/disable function
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a 0.90 mm seated height, the oscillator fits tight PCB layouts in portable or multi-layer designs. The Enable/Disable pin (function) allows the outputs to be tri-stated, reducing supply current to 23 mA max when disabled — useful for power-gating clock trees during sleep modes.
