Dual-frequency 25 MHz / 125 MHz CMOS XO
The DSC2311KL1-R0002 is a Microchip Technology MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator that outputs two independent CMOS clocks: 25 MHz on Output 1 and 125 MHz on Output 2.
That stability budget fits most 100BASE-TX Ethernet, USB 2.0, and general-purpose microcontroller clocking requirements without needing a TCXO. The supply voltage accepts 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering both 2.5 V and 3.3 V logic rails with margin.
6-VDFN package and board layout notes
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a 0.90 mm seated height. The small footprint demands careful fan-out — the 125 MHz output trace should be impedance-controlled (50 Ω typical) and kept short to avoid signal-integrity reflections. Decouple the supply pin with a 0.1 µF capacitor placed within 2 mm of the VDD pin.
Microchip lists the DSC2311KL1-R0002 as Active. No pin-compatible second source is documented; the DSC2311 family shares the same footprint and supply range, so a different frequency variant from the same series is the simplest cross-reference if the dual-output requirement changes.
