MEMS oscillator with dual-frequency output
The DSC2311KI2-R0059T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC2311 series, delivering two independent CMOS clock outputs: 25 MHz on Output 1 and 12 MHz on Output 2. A single device replaces two quartz oscillators, saving board space and reducing BOM count. The MEMS resonator is inherently more shock- and vibration-tolerant than a quartz crystal, making this a natural fit for portable equipment, industrial controls, and any design where mechanical reliability matters.
Supply voltage and temperature range
Runs from 2.25 V to 3.6 V, so it works directly off 2.5 V, 3.0 V, or 3.3 V rails without an extra regulator. Frequency stability is ±25 ppm across the full temperature and voltage range — tight enough for a UART baud-rate generator or a CAN bus node without external trimming.
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a 0.90 mm height profile. The small footprint and low profile suit space-constrained PCBs in handheld instruments or multi-layer stack-ups. The Enable/Disable function lets you gate the outputs without cycling power — useful for power-sensitive designs where the clock tree is shut down in sleep mode.
