Dual-frequency MEMS oscillator – 24 MHz and 50 MHz
The DSC2311KI2-R0016T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) that delivers two independent CMOS clock outputs: 24 MHz on output 1 and 50 MHz on output 2. This dual-frequency capability lets a single oscillator feed two clock domains on the board — for example, a 24 MHz MCU core clock and a 50 MHz Ethernet PHY reference — reducing BOM count and layout complexity.
Supply range, stability, and enable/disable function
Operating from 2.25 V to 3.6 V, the part covers common 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails without a separate regulator. The enable/disable function (pin-controlled) pulls the outputs to high-impedance when disabled, drawing a maximum of 23 mA in the disabled state.
Package and footprint – 6-VDFN
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, the DSC2311KI2-R0016T fits dense PCB layouts where height is constrained, such as mezzanine cards or compact IoT modules. The 6-pin VDFN uses a standard land pattern; no via-in-pad is required for thermal relief.
Active production – no lifecycle concern
Microchip lists the DSC2311KI2-R0016T as Active.
