Dual-frequency clock in one MEMS oscillator
The DSC2311KI2-R0008 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) that outputs two independent CMOS clocks: 32 MHz on output 1 and 25 MHz on output 2, from a single 6-VDFN package.
The wide supply range of 2.25 V to 3.6 V lets this part run directly off a 2.5 V, 3.0 V, or 3.3 V rail without an extra LDO — a clean fit for mixed-voltage designs.
Frequency stability and output control
Frequency stability is specified at ±25 ppm, which is tight enough for most MCU clock inputs, USB hubs, and Ethernet PHY reference clocks without needing a TCXO.
Package footprint and rework
Housed in a 6-VDFN measuring 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a height of 0.90 mm, this oscillator fits tight board stacks. The VDFN package has exposed pads on the bottom — ensure the solder paste stencil covers the centre thermal pad for proper solder joint formation under the package. Rework is straightforward with hot air: preheat the board to 150°C, then apply hot air at 300°C to the package body until the solder reflows. The orientation mark (pin 1) is clearly indicated on the top of the package — no guessing.
