6.78 MHz MEMS XO in 6-VDFN
That is tight enough for a UART baud-rate generator or an MCU main clock, but not for a precision ADC sample clock where ±25 ppm or better is typical. Supply voltage spans 2.25 V to 3.6 V, so the same oscillator runs on a 2.5 V or 3.3 V rail without a level translator.
Industrial-temperature oscillator in a small footprint
The 6-VDFN package measures 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a 0.90 mm height — it sits on a small PCB real estate, but the 0.50 mm pitch pads require a controlled soldering profile and careful stencil design to avoid bridging. For a true power-down, the supply rail itself must be switched.
Microchip lists the DSC2311KI1-R0054 as Active. The base product number DSC2311 covers a family of dual-output MEMS oscillators with different frequency and stability options. If the BOM later needs a different output frequency, a sibling within the DSC2311 family shares the same 6-VDFN footprint and supply range.
