Quad-output MEMS clock for dense timing trees
The DSC2044FI2-H0004T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip that delivers four simultaneous HCSL outputs at 75 MHz, 100 MHz, 125 MHz, and 150 MHz, all from a single 14-VFQFN package. HCSL (High-Speed Current Steering Logic) is the common clock interface for PCIe reference clocks — this part feeds a multi-lane PCIe switch or FPGA bank without external level translation.
The 2.25 V to 3.6 V supply range covers 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails common in networking and FPGA designs — no extra regulator needed when migrating between voltage domains.
The 14-VFQFN exposed-pad package measures 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a 0.90 mm height — the exposed paddle needs a thermal via array under the pad to pull heat into the ground plane; a 4-layer board with a solid GND plane under the part is the typical layout.
This part is still a valid design-in for new builds, not a scavenge item.
