Four output frequencies in one MEMS XO
The DSC2044FI2-H0001T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC2044 series that delivers four selectable output frequencies: 100 MHz, 106.25 MHz, 125 MHz, and 156.25 MHz on Output 1, and 25 MHz, 50 MHz, 100 MHz, 125 MHz, and 156.25 MHz on Output 2. With an HCSL output and ±25 ppm frequency stability, this oscillator is a direct fit for PCIe reference clock applications and high-speed serial interfaces that demand low jitter.
The wide supply range of 2.25 V to 3.6 V lets it run from a 2.5 V or 3.3 V rail without an external regulator, simplifying the power tree.
Housed in a 14-VFQFN Exposed Pad package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a 0.90 mm profile, the DSC2044FI2-H0001T requires a thermal pad on the PCB for heat sinking — the exposed paddle must be soldered to a ground plane to keep junction temperature within limits.
