Dual-frequency clock from a single MEMS resonator
The DSC2042FI2-M0004T is a MEMS-based XO that generates two independent output frequencies from one resonator: 125 MHz on output 1 and 25 MHz on output 2. This eliminates a second oscillator from the BOM when a design needs both a high-speed SerDes reference and a lower-speed system clock. Outputs are configurable as HCSL or LVPECL, the standard differential signalling formats for PCIe, 10GbE, and FPGA reference clocks. A single device can feed two clock domains without external fanout buffers.
Stability and supply range for industrial timing
This holds the clock edge jitter tight enough for 125 MHz LVPECL into a 100BASE-TX PHY or a Xilinx 7-series GTX transceiver reference. Supply voltage spans 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering both 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails without an intermediate LDO.
Active lifecycle and package fit
Product status is Active. Housed in a 14-VFQFN with exposed pad, 3.20 x 2.50 mm body, 0.90 mm height. Supplied in tape and reel, compatible with automated pick-and-place assembly.
