Dual-output MEMS clock generator for multi-frequency buses
The DSC2033FI2-F0030T is a dual-output MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC2033 series, delivering LVDS clock signals at factory-programmed frequencies.
Frequency plan and stability for timing closure
The ±25 ppm frequency stability is tight enough for Ethernet PHYs, USB, and serial transceivers without external VCXO or trimming. Output 1's four frequencies (30/60/80/160 MHz) cover common processor, FPGA, and SerDes reference rates; output 2's two frequencies (30/80 MHz) can drive a separate clock domain such as a USB or audio subsystem. The supply voltage range of 2.25V to 3.6V means the oscillator can be powered from a 2.5V or 3.3V rail directly — no extra LDO needed, which saves board space and BOM cost.
Package, footprint, and thermal management
The 14-VFQFN exposed pad package measures 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a height of 0.90 mm — compact enough for space-constrained designs.
