Dual-frequency LVDS clock in a 3.2×2.5 mm package
The DSC2033FI1-F0026 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC2033 series that outputs two independent LVDS clock signals: 400 MHz on Output 1 and 200 MHz on Output 2.
That stability budget is tight enough for a 400 MHz reference without a separate TCXO or oven — the MEMS resonator's low g-sensitivity also helps in fan-cooled or vibration-prone racks. The supply voltage accepts 2.25 V to 3.6 V, covering both 2.5 V and 3.3 V rails without an external LDO. On a mixed-voltage board, the same order code can be used across both domains, reducing line-item count.
The 14-VFQFN exposed pad package (3.20 mm × 2.50 mm, 0.90 mm height) requires a thermal pad on the PCB for heat sinking. The small footprint leaves room for adjacent decoupling caps close to the supply pins — a layout detail that matters for LVDS signal integrity at 400 MHz.
