Dual-frequency MEMS oscillator for networking clocks
The DSC2010FE2-B0003 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC2010 series, delivering two independent LVCMOS outputs at 125 MHz and 155.52 MHz from a single 14-VFQFN package. The dual-frequency capability covers common Ethernet and SONET/SDH reference clock rates, so one oscillator replaces two single-frequency cans on the board.
Housed in a 14-VFQFN with exposed pad, measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm and 0.90 mm tall — the pad needs a thermal via pattern under the package for heat sinking, and the small footprint saves board area. Frequency stability of ±25 ppm holds the clock edge jitter tight enough for 1 GbE and FPGA transceiver reference inputs without a TCXO.
