MEMS-based 125 MHz clock source for 1.8V systems
The DSC1505ML3A-125M0000T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC150X series, delivering a fixed 125 MHz LVCMOS output from a 1.8V supply rail. It is designed for surface-mount assembly in the 4-VFLGA package (2.00mm x 1.60mm footprint).
Frequency stability and temperature range for industrial duty
This is tight enough to serve as a reference clock for 1GbE PHYs, PCIe Gen1/2, and many FPGA SerDes blocks without an external PLL clean-up. No heatsink or forced airflow is required at the 7.5 mA max supply current.
Standby function and low-power profile
This is useful in battery-operated equipment that cycles between active and sleep states — the oscillator wakes in microseconds, faster than a crystal-based equivalent. Active current draw is 7.5 mA max at 125 MHz, which is competitive with quartz XOs of the same frequency and output type. The low current also reduces self-heating in the tiny 4-VFLGA package.
Lifecycle and sourcing through independent distribution
The 4-VFLGA package is supplied on Tape & Reel, consistent with automated pick-and-place assembly. The 0.89mm seated height fits standard board-to-board spacing.
