The DSC1124CI5-156.2500 is a Microchip MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 156.25 MHz HCSL output — a common reference for PCIe Gen1/2/3, 10GbE, and FPGA transceiver clocks that require a low-jitter differential pair. Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so the same BOM line can serve 2.5V or 3.3V logic rails without a separate regulator — useful when a board has mixed-voltage domains.
The MEMS resonator construction eliminates quartz crystal supply constraints and mechanical shock sensitivity — a practical advantage for high-vibration environments like industrial motor drives or outdoor telecom enclosures.
