That frequency is a common reference for PCIe Gen3/4, 10GbE, and serial backplanes — the HCSL swing drives the differential pair directly without external termination resistors in many designs. Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 3.6V, so the same BOM position works on a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without a separate regulator. Maximum supply current is 42 mA, and the disable function drops it to 22 mA for power-sensitive sleep states.
