156.25 MHz HCSL reference for high-speed serial buses
The DSC1124CI2-156.2500T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator delivering a 156.25 MHz HCSL output — the exact frequency and logic level required as a reference clock for PCIe Gen 1/2/3, 10GbE, and other SerDes transceivers. The HCSL (High-Speed Current Steering Logic) output provides the differential swing and common-mode voltage that PCIe root complexes and switches expect, without needing external termination resistors to a separate Vtt rail.
Supply tolerance and temperature grade for industrial deployment
The supply range spans 2.25V to 3.6V — it runs from a nominal 2.5V or 3.3V rail without a separate LDO, and the wide tolerance absorbs ripple from a switching regulator upstream. The MEMS resonator base means no crystal aging drift over the first year; the frequency shift from initial accuracy is dominated by the MEMS die's own stability, not the quartz blank's mechanical creep.
6-SMD no-lead package and board layout
Housed in a 6-SMD, no-lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The no-lead (QFN-style) footprint requires a solder-paste stencil aperture that matches the exposed pad — the centre pad is the thermal and electrical ground path. A 0.50 mm pitch is typical for this package class; the layout must fan out the six pads to inner layers without via-in-pad unless the PCB fab caps the vias.
