156.25 MHz LVDS MEMS clock source
The DSC1123CE1-156.2500T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1123 series, delivering a 156.25 MHz LVDS output with ±50 ppm frequency stability. The MEMS resonator eliminates the quartz start-up reliability concerns common in high-vibration environments — a practical advantage for automotive and industrial applications where a crystal might fail under sustained shock. AEC-Q100 qualification means this oscillator has passed the full automotive-grade stress suite: temperature cycling, ESD, latch-up, and extended life tests. The Enable/Disable function lets you gate the output, dropping supply current from 32 mA max to 22 mA max when the clock is not needed. This is useful for power-sensitive designs where the oscillator can be shut down during sleep modes without a separate load switch.
Supply voltage tolerance and package
The supply range spans 2.25V to 3.63V, covering 2.5V and 3.3V rails without an external regulator. This wide tolerance simplifies the power tree — the oscillator can share a rail with other 3.3V logic or a 2.5V FPGA bank, reducing BOM count. Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead package measuring 3.20mm x 2.50mm with a seated height of 0.90mm.
The part ships in Tape & Reel (TR) packaging, standard for automated pick-and-place assembly.
