100 MHz LVDS MEMS oscillator – AEC-Q100 for automotive clock trees
The DSC1123BE2-100.0000 is a 100 MHz LVDS-output MEMS oscillator from Microchip Technology's DSC1123 series. The LVDS differential output delivers low-jitter clocking over long PCB traces and through noisy environments — a direct fit for high-speed serial links, Ethernet PHY reference clocks, and FPGA/SoC clock trees that require a clean 100 MHz reference. This qualifies it for under-hood and cabin domain controllers without additional PPAP submission from the BOM owner. The supply voltage range of 2.25V to 3.63V lets it run from either a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without a separate LDO.
6-SMD surface-mount – layout and rework considerations
Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead package measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm max. The 0.197" x 0.126" footprint is standard for MEMS oscillators — the land pattern matches the common 5.0 x 3.2 mm oscillator pads, so no special footprint is required. The LVDS output uses two of the six pins (positive and negative outputs); the remaining pins are supply, ground, and enable. No thermal pad — reflow profile follows standard lead-free solder paste recommendations for the package size.
