Wide supply range and MEMS resonator reliability
The 2.25V to 3.63V supply range covers common 2.5V and 3.3V rails without an external LDO — the oscillator runs directly from the core or I/O supply, saving a regulator slot on the BOM. A MEMS base resonator replaces the quartz crystal, eliminating the startup-time variability and vibration sensitivity of a crystal oscillator. The 6-SMD package with exposed pad (7.00mm x 5.00mm) provides a low-inductance thermal path to the PCB ground plane.
No last-time-buy or obsolescence window has been announced. The DSC1123 series shares the same footprint and pinout across its frequency range, so a BOM spin to a different DSC1123 frequency (if needed later) requires only a component change, not a board respin.
