MEMS clock with LVPECL drive
The DSC1122CI5-156.2578T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1122 series, delivering a fixed 156.2578 MHz LVPECL output. The MEMS resonator eliminates the quartz-crystal startup issues and vibration sensitivity you see on a board that's been through thermal cycling — the scorch mark on a failed crystal oscillator tells you the resonator cracked; this part doesn't have one to crack. It operates from a single 2.25V to 3.6V supply, covering both 2.5V and 3.3V logic rails without an extra regulator.
Stability and temperature range
The 58 mA max supply current is the full-drive figure; with the output disabled it drops to 22 mA.
Housed in a 6-SMD, No Lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — it fits the same land pattern as standard 3.2 x 2.5 mm XO footprints. Surface-mount assembly with no through-hole vias needed under the body.
