The DSC1122CE5-047.9980 is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) oscillator from Microchip's DSC1122 series, delivering a 47.998 MHz LVPECL differential output. The MEMS resonator gives it an edge over quartz in shock and vibration environments — no start-up reliability concerns from a crystal blank under mechanical stress. LVPECL output means the device drives the differential clock inputs found on high-speed FPGAs, 10G Ethernet PHYs, and SerDes transceivers directly, without external level translation.
For outdoor base stations or engine-bay electronics, a wider-temperature variant from the DSC1122 family would be needed.
Package and layout – 6-SMD no-lead
Housed in a 6-SMD no-lead package measuring 3.20 mm x 2.50 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm. The small footprint frees board area for dense routing around the clock tree.
