148.5 MHz LVPECL — the video/broadcast clock slot
The DSC1122BI5-148.5000T is a MEMS-based XO delivering a 148.5 MHz LVPECL output — the exact frequency used in 3G-SDI, 1080p video, and broadcast reference clocks. The LVPECL differential pair drives long PCB traces or cables with controlled edge rates, keeping jitter within the timing budget for SERDES and high-speed ADC sampling.
±10 ppm stability over industrial temperature
That is tighter than the ±25 ppm or ±50 ppm of commodity quartz oscillators, which means the clock edge position drifts less with temperature — important when the downstream PLL has limited pull-in range or when the system must hold lock over a cold start. The MEMS resonator is less sensitive to vibration and shock than a quartz crystal, so the frequency holds under mechanical stress common in outdoor telecom cabinets or industrial motor drives.
Active production — no design-in risk
Product status is Active per Microchip's current lifecycle designation. The 6-SMD no-lead package (5.00 mm x 3.20 mm, 0.90 mm seated height) is a standard MEMS oscillator footprint shared by many suppliers.
