155.52 MHz LVPECL MEMS oscillator for networking line rates
The DSC1122BI2-155.5200T is a Microchip MEMS-based XO (Standard) delivering a 155.52 MHz LVPECL output — the exact frequency used as a reference for OC-3, Fast Ethernet, and 10GbE line-rate clocking. Its ±25 ppm frequency stability covers standard Ethernet jitter budgets without an external VCXO or PLL, and the LVPECL output drives 50-ohm terminated traces directly into FPGA or SerDes clock inputs.
MEMS resonator vs quartz — when to swap
It also starts up faster, eliminating the crystal's startup delay on power-on reset. Pin-compatible with standard 6-SMD quartz oscillators of the same footprint (5.0 × 3.2 mm), the DSC1122BI2-155.5200T can drop into an existing board layout without a PCB spin, provided the supply voltage falls within its 2.25 V to 3.6 V range.
